 Organizer Announces Ticket Info for Las Vegas Basketball Classic

ST. LOUIS - Basketball Promotions, the organizer of the 2008 Findlay Toyota Las Vegas Classic, has announced that tickets to the event can be purchased beginning Saturday, June 7. The Saint Louis men's basketball team is part of an eight-team field comprising the tournament. Also participating will be Creighton, DePaul, Fresno State, Liberty, Northern Colorado, South Carolina-Upstate and Southern. Each team will play four games, the first two at campus sites on dates to be announced, and the final two games at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 22 and 23. Tickets are available at the Orleans Arena box office in Las Vegas or via the Internet at www.orleansarena.com. For more information, call (702) 284-7777. Billiken fans will be able to purchase tickets via the SLU ticket office at a later date. The Billikens are coming off a 16-15 record in coach Rick Majerus' first season at SLU. The senior guard tandem of Kevin Lisch (14.6 ppg) and Tommie Liddell (12.3 ppg) will lead the Billikens in their first campaign at the new Chaifetz Arena.
